If you’re wondering if you could get that great GNOME 2 font smoothing in Mozilla without having to compile it yourself, you’re in luck! Head over to the mozilla.org website and download Mozilla 1.3a with font smoothing. Download the files. Double-click them in Nautilus, enter your root password and away you go. You don’t need any of the packages that have ‘devel’ in the name. Hint: you can make Mozilla a little quicker by not installing the mail or chat packages.
