Flash is a truly impressive technology. I can’t deny that. I’ve done a lot of Flash development in the past. Now I do anything to avoid it. I find Flash to be a cluttered application and I hate having to use a certain tool.
Don’t get me started on the platform lock-in or the licensing or the price. With the state, ever improving of open technologies and HTML, CSS, JavaScript, many uses for Flash can be avoided. But I can also see many projects requiring it.

There is nothing on Linux that even comes close to the Flash IDE. If you have to develop using it, you're going to have to do some virtualization or dual-booting.
